Hi all,
I run with "qemu/qemu-system-x86_64 -net nic,model=ne2k_pci -net user
parsecROI.img"

Here is ifconfig:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 52:54:00:12:34:56
          inet addr:10.0.2.15 Bcast:10.0.2.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:22 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:34 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:3826 (3.8 KB) TX bytes:3300 (3.3 KB)
          Interrupt:11 Base address:0xc100

lo Link encap:Local Loopback
          inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
          UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
          RX packets:6 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:6 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
          RX bytes:560 (560.0 B) TX bytes:560 (560.0 B)

The VM appears to correctly get an IP address from DHCP.

I can ping by host computer through 10.0.2.2
root@ubuntu:~# ping 10.0.2.2
PING 10.0.2.2 (10.0.2.2) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 10.0.2.2: icmp_seq=1 ttl=255 time=6.93 ms
64 bytes from 10.0.2.2: icmp_seq=2 ttl=255 time=0.440 ms
^C
--- 10.0.2.2 ping statistics ---
2 packets transmitted, 2 received, 0% packet loss, time 1005ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.440/3.686/6.933/3.247 ms

But I cannot connect to the internet through the VM as I need to install
gcc in the VM.
root@ubuntu:~# ping 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS Server)
PING 8.8.8.8 (8.8.8.8) 56(84) bytes of data.
^C
--- 8.8.8.8 ping statistics ---
5 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 4016ms

How do I go about getting internet access from the VM?

Thank you,
Mehrtash Manoochehri
