Marss froze when fed with the following configurations:
FU_COUNT: 8
ALU_FU_COUNT: 2
FPU_FU_COUNT: 2
STORE_FU_COUNT: 2
LOAD_FU_COUNT: 2
ITLB_SIZE: 16
DTLB_SIZE: 16
FRONTEND_WIDTH: 1
FETCH_WIDTH: 1
DISPATCH_WIDTH: 1
ISSUE_WIDTH: 1
WRITEBACK_WIDTH: 1
COMMIT_WIDTH: 1
FETCH_QUEUE_SIZE: 48
LDQ_SIZE: 32
STQ_SIZE: 32
ROB_SIZE: 8
PHYS_REG_FILE_SIZE: 80
Seems like if I decrease the PHYS_REG_FILE_SIZE/ROB_SIZE ratio,
say 80/64, then simulation could progress smoothly.
Also, simulation also succeeded if I increase
the issue width to 4. I looked into the log file,
the simulation stopped at some
cycle and just didn't move forward.
I was wondering if this is an infinite loop?
Any help is appreciated!
