If you are using an end of life (EOL) version of Ubuntu, then you need to
switch your /etc/apt/sources.list file to point to the
old-releases.ubuntu.com domain instead of the default domain. The red
releases in this table
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ubuntu_releases#Table_of_versions)
are currently EOL.
