[mart-dev] Transition between versions

Hi guys,

It would be really nice if you could keep the older versions of the mart 
data around for maybe even a day or two after you do a data release? 
It's a bit annoying to have something that works the day you write it 
then you come in the next morning and it's all broken because release 36 
has vanished.

Is there any possibility we could add a mechanism to mart to allow a 
compatibility assertion between two versions? As it happens the workflow 
that I wrote yesterday should work just fine with the latest data 
release but of course there's no way for Taverna to know that so it 
tries to use the old one and fails as it's not there. If appropriate 
metadata existed in the mart service we could take advantage of it and 
allow users to 'upgrade' workflows rather than just breaking.
