just to make sure ....
you are talking about web service not direct access to the db server are
you?
compara is a special case as this configuration is prepared 'manually'
rather than using MEditor which should normally take care of that
(at the moment until 0.6 comes along). These dates should be in sync.
Benoit, is it possible that in your datasets updates you do these two
operation
asynchronously?

As Arek wrote, ComparaMart is a special case here as I am not using
marteditor to create the xmls, as there is hundreds of them, but with a
script.
I realised that there are two different date, one on the XML and one the
meta_conf__dataset__main table.
Xmls date
2006-11-19 17:23:18
meta_conf__dataset__main date
2006-11-19 17:44:33
These two dates should indeed match up, but in the case of ComparaMart
it doesn't mean the data aren't consistent between the database conf
table and the xmls - there is not update process in ComparaMart - When I
need to update the xmls, I drop all of them, an re-create them ...
for v43 the date will match.
