Hi there.

You can configure your dataset so that you can use wildcard searches -
the configuration has to be done via MartEditor and saved to the
database holding the dataset, so if the dataset is not yours then you
won't be able to make the change.

Assuming you do have write access to the dataset configuration then you
can set it up in MartEditor by modifying the qualifier and
legalQualifier part of the filter in question to say 'like' instead of
'=' (or whatever the equivalent term is in Postgres for LIKE). Then you
can use the standard Postgres wildcards in your query.

MartExplorer is not fully featured at present, and many options
available in MartView and MartService are not functional in
MartExplorer. (MartShell and the Java API are in a similar state). You
won't be able to use it for placeholder (pointer) filters and
attributes, amongst other things. We are working on fixing this for a
future release but as yet there has been no decision as to which release
will include the fixes or when that release will be.

cheers,
Richard
