Dear Arek,

Please excuse me for contacting you directly instead of through the mailing list (I am not sure where to send my e-mail).

Could you tell me what criteria are used to link genes 2 genomes (for example human and mouse)? I guess homology, but I have not yet found the algorithm or database used.

Hi Martijn,
Yes you are right. In Ensembl homology is used to link two genomes.
This is computed by Ensembl compara team.
I have cc'ed this email (with slightly changed subject line)
to mart-dev so they can pick up this email and explain more

a.

Kind regards,
Martijn
