Hi Giulia,
In pursuit of finding out whats really wrong at your, I would like to
have a look at two things given you do the following.

- do a clean check out
- from biomart-perl/
  perl bin/configure.pl -r conf/YOUR_REGISTRY_FILE
[save the onscreen instructions in a file say FILE_FOO].
- once the process is finished, send me the following files:
        [cgi-bin/martview, cgi-bin/martservice, conf/httpd.conf]
- Now start you apache server, and point your web-browser to you
installation, -i-e YOUR_MACHINEL:PORT/biomart/martview, what gets
displayed on the screen ?

- Now send me the following files -> [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        *cgi-bin/martview,
        *cgi-bin/martservice,
        *conf/httpd.conf,
        *logs/error_log,
        *FILE_FOO

Many thanks in anticipation.

Kind Regards
Syed
