Sorry, confusion between hidden / visible. It's now hidden but sadly hasn't made any difference.

If it's telling me there's no finite path, is there any way I can see how it's attempting to determine the path? There's nothing obvious in the debug messages.

Hi Seth,
could you send us your xmls and tell us exactly what attributes and filters are you using to invoke the query? We'll try to have a look. This is almost certainly some sort of misconfiguration problem.

(i am assuming your meta_conf_dataset.visible is now set to 0)

Actually the only reason the second dataset is visible is because the hide toggle didn't seem to have any effect. It's not in my registry.xml and is hidden but still shows up in martview.

if you don't want this dataset to be visible try setting 'visible' attribute to '0' and export the config. Check in meta_conf__dataset that the visible column
has been set correctly to '0'

and see if this works

There are only two visible datasets in total, by the way.

yes, the datasets are visible, and I get the same error if I have one or multiple pointer filters. It only seems to occur when I retrieve pointer attributes, however.

ok, and the pointer attributes do point to visible datasets as well?

The problem is that in the current system will not support more than two visible datasets, so if you invoke more than two simultaneously through either pointer filters or pointer attributes or otherwise you may run into problems. This particular problem is going to be sorted out with the arrival of MConfigurator but at the moment
you'll have to live with that I am afraid.
