I guess both of us were thinking on the same lines at the same point of
time :) My fix to the headers was through apache conf file indeed.
PerlOptions +ParseHeaders

Hi Allyson,
thanks for your investigation, very helpful.
Please do a 'cvs update' on your biomart-perl,
perl bin/configure.pl..... with --clean
kill and restart your apache,
the extra headers will be gone, you dont need to write a custom
parser anymore.
