It seems to me that ensembl (supported by biomart, if I understand it
correctly) has similar functionality to ucsc genome browser. Could
somebody let me know the pros and cons of each tools and when I should
use which tools?

UCSC genome browser provide mysql database access and processed
datafiles. Biomart also provides queries. Could somebody also compare
them so that I choose the more appropriate one for any give task that
is at my hand.
