Iraq is a mess. It is a mess both for capitalism and communism.The conditions obtaining there dont facilitate the emergence and growth of communism anymore than the conditions obtaining under Saddam Hussein.It is a mess for capitalism in the sense that present conditions are not conducive towards the maximisation of profit. Overall Iraq highlights the limits of imperialism. It is not necessarily possible for imperialism to militarily invade a country in such a way as to guarantee new stable political structure more sauitable to imperialist interests.
