Lichtenstein rosa CB: "Sounds like you are making a big deal out of syntactical foible (puzzle even)of philosophy itself, philosophizing about it in your reference to "reification". So why can't Engels deal with a syntactical blunder ?"
Well, I could not follow your point here. ^^^^^ CB: You say Engels makes a big deal about some syntactical blunder. Ironically, in the same sentence you make something, if not a big deal, out of some problem you perceive in Engels' use of the term "being", which is a just a common term from philsophy itself. You might want to elaborate on your idea about some problem with using the word "being" . Your seeming identifying "being" and "will have been" in your discourse here needs to be explained , from my standpoint. &&&&&&&& Recall, I am not making a 'big deal' as you put it, merely highlighting the substantive truths metaphysicians have always treid to derive from such crass errors. ^^^^ CB: You seem to be making something out of Engels' use of the term "being". What exactly is not clear to me. ^^^^^^^^ They make the big deal, I merely expose its brainlessness. ^^^^^ CB: Engels was not brainless. Nor am I. Might be a good idea to drop the term. ^^^^^^^^ "CB: I don't see where you have shown that one can't ask the question" Well, you can certainly compose something with a "?" at the end, but that does not make it a question. Is this a question: "Is being more or less identical with wasing?"? ^^^^^ CB; Yes, why isn't it a question ? By "wasing" , do you mean being from the past ? "Wasing" is a neologism. You have to define it. ^^^^^^ If you think so, then linguistic naivety might be your only defence. ^^^^ CB; Actually, I'm linguistically very experienced and wise. ^^^^^^ "What do you like about them?" I was being polite.... "At this later time, what will be the relationship between our thinking and what will have been?" I suggest you sober up. RL ^^^^ CB; Polite and then impolite. I suggest you watchout implying that I'm not sober. I can hurl insults so fast it'll make your head spin. _______________________________________________ Marxism-Thaxis mailing list [email protected] To change your options or unsubscribe go to: http://lists.econ.utah.edu/mailman/listinfo/marxism-thaxis
