As for the philosophical drift of this thread, such as it is, it is at least sufficient (to me) for me to ask: Does a philosophy of political economy require a 'metaphysics' beyond metaphysics? I doubt it. The issues for developing a true science of political economy--a social science--are like the other social sciences, more epistemological (and yet there is little progress in that area as well). I think anyway.Perhaps it is just the weary post-mod cynic in me.
