I was responding to Vladimiro Giacche's one-liner, not to your post - which isn't exactly new news.

Lenin's insight in to the nature of nationalist upheavals is relevant in this context. And equally relevant is his remark in the next paragraph: "Whoever expects a “pure” social revolution will *never* live to see it. Such a person pays lip-service to revolution without understanding what revolution is."
