I agree with those posting here who would boycott Press TV. It's not so much that most left-wingers -- at least most of us here in Britain -- see the Iranian regime or any other such regime as 'comrades', but because the Mullahs are posturing as 'anti-imperialists' and opponents of Western interference in the Middle East, the appearance of left-wingers on this station gives the appearance that the left is somehow linked with the Iranian regime. If a left-winger gets an article in a right-wing paper here or in the USA, then that does not give the impression that there is a link between the left and the paper; the differences are clear to the readership. However, this is different when it comes to Press TV as it likes to present itself as anti-imperialist and progressive. The essential differences between the left and fake anti-imperialism would be muddied here. This article, which is one of the most appalling I've seen in ages, not just in its outright anti-Semitism but also in its absurd assertions on other matters, should bring to home to us that the 'anti-imperialism' of Press TV is quite bogus, and for that reason we should keep well away from it. I will be joining with others in Britain in a call for left-wingers to boycott Press TV on account of this article.
