In my view the attention that The Jacobin is good news for other Marxist
publications too.  People who become intrigued with Marxism from reading
The Jacobin are, I think, more likely to start taking a look at other
Marxist publications like Monthly Review or Science & Society.  I don't
see how this can be a bad thing.  I think that leftists have to get over
this small proprietor mentality which feels threatened when some
publication or organization that is not their own starts enjoying a
modicum of success.  Unfortunately, the right-wing seems to understand
this better than we do.
