I think I only made the comment below on Facebook, and not here, when the
article appeared, but just to be sure:
If co-ops are part of a spreading phenomenon, and that spread encourages
thinking about the next logical, qualitatively deeper step, right on!
In what I consider the economic complement to "State and Revolution," Lenin
in "Immediate Tasks of the Soviet Government" goes on and on about how
society must become one big coop, partly by uniting all the small coops,
and for that to work he insists on democratic worker accounting and control
at all levels (he must repeat that phrase "accounting and control" like 50
times).
And notice, by the way, that in any of his writings when Lenin refers to
working-class organizations he ALWAYS mentions coops and mutual aid
societies (and usually worker reading rooms etc.).
