I have been thinking ever since Corbyn's ascension to the leadership of the Labour Party of the 1988 mini- series *A Very British Coup* starring the great Irish actor Ray MacAnally. A left leaning former steel worker is elected as Prime Minister and that is the trigger for a coup. I personally do not believe that Corbyn can last long enough to make the coup a viable option for the ruling class. Corbyn is no Allende. The Blairites will probably take him out long before a coup is thought of as necessary. But this all may be a necessary stage before the final collapse of the Labour Party and the emergence of a broad left alternative. comradely Gary On Tue, Sep 22, 2015 at 8:47 PM, Jamie via Marxism < marxism@lists.csbs.utah.edu> wrote: > ******************** POSTING RULES & NOTES ******************** > #1 YOU MUST clip all extraneous text when replying to a message. > #2 This mail-list, like most, is publicly & permanently archived. > #3 Subscribe and post under an alias if #2 is a concern. > ***************************************************************** > > "a peoples militia" ?
