So, how would a "socialism from below" government deal with the consequences of declining commodity prices? Essentially, the "pink tide" governments have been confronted with the same harsh realities as Syriza in Greece. A government might be led by conscious Marxists who have fully absorbed the lessons of Tony Cliff but you can't build socialism from below in a single country, right?
