Thank you, Gary, for your comments. But I'm not entirely convinced that N Korea is simply really a proxy for China. If that were the case, then it seems to me that the Chinese government would be sounding far more bellicose than they are on this issue, rather than actually conceding to the major capitalist powers. For example, I read that for the first time ever they have actually cut off N Korean exports to China in line with the recent UN resolution. Or, to take another example, consider what they are saying in this regard vs. what they say concerning the S. China Sea territorial dispute, including their man-made islands there. Other comments?
