What is your point? That an analysis of the Syrian economy should not be based on an examination of class structures but what some rightwing ideologue in the USA says?

Gowans book is filled with references to "the Washington political establishment" but my review is based on the concrete reality of foreign investment, the agrarian crisis, rentier state contradictions, etc.

His book is a pile of steaming excrement and you acquitted yourself poorly by praising it.
