It lays it out there clearly. The famous tension between the more establishment figures in Trump's administration and Trump himself has now ended... in favor of Trump. He has crossed a Rubicon. As the article points out, he is now relying purely on his hard core supporters, as channeled through Fox News and those like Ann Coulter, and his own "instincts". "I have a gut, and my gut tells me more sometimes than anybody else's brain can tell me," he recently said. The article quotes a "former senior official" of Trump's administration as saying "an intervention (!) might be necessary."
