A good friend of mine was a personal friend of Ralph Milliband and got to know the boys as they grew up. Of course this is a terrible betrayal of all the father stood for, but as I always point out that aside from the psychological dimensions of such actions, and there would have been a very sublimated drive to a kind of patricide, the material benefits of betraying the father have been considerable.
