I am glad to acknowledge that I was too harsh in my rejoinder, "aw 'shucks'". I can certainly agree with the sentiment that "how to 'treat' women" is an integral part of building a revolutionary movement in the U.S. I would expect it clear to most of us that such an integration of women's rights includes making the connection that opposing the death penalty for an Iranian woman or, for that matter, the use of rape as a military and political weapon by oppressor governments would be both a point of solidarity for women and men "in the u.s." but would also raise the bar for all, especially feminists, in comprehending the revolutionary implications of learning "how to 'treat' women." -- Manuel ________________________________________________ Send list submissions to: Marxism@lists.econ.utah.edu Set your options at: http://lists.econ.utah.edu/mailman/options/marxism/archive%40mail-archive.com
