  Which is what Karl Marx wrote down as his maxim in the questionnaire his 
daughters asked him to fill out.

   Either "Marxism" designates a set of doctrines different from general 
science and a political movement distinct from the revolutionary political 
movement to take power by the working class, then it is a sectarian doctrine 
which makes its differences with the general movement its shibboleth, or the 
designation "Marxism" is superfluous and should be dropped.
