Korea's jobless rate up SEOUL -- South Korea's unemployment rate rose to five per cent in February, the highest level in a year, reports quoting a government source said on Wednesday. The rate was estimated to have reached 4.9-5.0 per cent last month with 1.05 million people seeking work, said a Finance and Economy Ministry official quoted by Seoul's Yonhap News Agency. In February 2000, the rate stood at 5.3 per cent with 1.12 million people out of jobs, it said.
