The classic texts that meant most to me were Engels' Peasant War in Germany
and Marx's Civil War in France.

More recently Gregor Tamas' *Telliing the Truth aboutr Class*<
https://merce.hu/tgm70/telling-the-truth-about-class/> really shocked me
with the realization that I was more of a natural fit for the Rousseau camp
than that of Marx. Which is why E. P. Thompson is such a favourite of mine.
