Here, I agree with John. Biden has departed from his past, partly because of Covid 19, partly because of the assault on the capitol, partly because the Dems picked up the two Senate seats in Georgia, partly because of the growing hard split of the GOP, and partly because of his alliance with Sanders et al.
He will be Keynsian in the first year of his term, and probably the second, of these there can be little doubt. More than that, he has moved to the left on some key symbolic issues like the Keystone pipeline. Biden has spelled out, and acted, on a vision of a multiracial, multiethnic, gender-equal capitalist republic that addresses global warming and environmental issues.
