Millions of peasants, protesting the unilateral imposition of anti-farmer black laws by the Modi government have crossed the Delhi borders and entered the city. They were agitating at the city border points around Delhi since the last 2 months and 11th negotiation had ended with the government refusing to concede the farmers' demands.Yesterday, the police had to concede the entry of farmers, but with 37 conditions and a highly restricted route. But the farmers had come out in large numbers with hundreds of thousands of tractors had broken through the police barricades. The police resorted to baton charge and tear gas, but they could not stop the tsunami of millions of farmers entering the national capital. On the historic Red Fort, the farmers had hoisted the Farmer's Union flag. It is not clear how long the millions of farmers will be occupying the streets of the capital, but according to some reports, they have plans to seize and surround the Parliament Building, where on February 1st, the Annual Budget has to be presented in the Parliament. The situation looks tens and the police are vastly outnumbered, but the protests were largely peaceful. No damage was caused to civilian or public property. More news will come out. As of now, the government has shut down the internet in and around Delhi. Many Farmers unions are participating and it is heartening to see a good number of red flags, belonging to Leftist unions.
