>From Publisher's Weekly: "The effort at Moe’s comes amid a broader movement in labor organizing among book workers ( https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/industry-news/bookselling/article/84318-how-bookstore-unions-are-stepping-up.html ) nationwide. Employees at Verso recently unionized ( https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/columns-and-blogs/soapbox/article/85271-want-to-change-the-book-biz-organize.html ) , while bookseller unions at the Strand Bookstore ( https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/industry-news/bookselling/article/85706-union-booksellers-protest-at-nyc-s-strand.html ) in New York City and Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon, have actively worked to push back against cuts during the pandemic. Amazon warehouse workers in Alabama are also making an effort to unionize, which garnered support from President Biden."
