This article is such a mess, that it frankly difficult to follow. Whie I am grateful to this group for opening my eyes about Blumenthal, and the Grayzone, I don't believe the truth about about what has been going on in Xinjiang will be known for decades to come. I do believe the wisest position we on the left can take as far as Xinjiang, or Syria for that matter, is no position at all. I believe the left is screwed no matter which which side we support in these fights. The fact that one of main pushers of the Uhygur genocide story has been a far right, anti-communist nutbag like Adrian Zenz ought to be enough for us to at least question, if not outright reject, many of these stories. The argument could be made if you buy into his stories, you are supporting US imperialism, and militarism. Likewise, many on the left need to wake up to the fact that just because a country rejects, or opposes, US imperialism and hegemony, it does not mean they are our comrades or allies. This can be said of Syria, just as it can be said about China..
