As I understand it, the great Miner's Strike - is I think, a perfect example of
where John Reimann is quite right in his laying huge responsibility on corrupt
TU bureaucracies. The so-called Triple Alliance leaders of the Transport
workers and Rail workers never came through - and left the Miners to be
victims. In a different manner, the same happened to the MinersĀ  in 1984-5.
In both another problem was giving the bosses a long term warning of the coming
Strike. During which they busily stock-piled. One thing that had concerned me,
in what La Botz had to say about preparing for the slogan of a General Strike
some 2 years down the pipe.
