To the New York Times's long history of journalistic malpractice there was its
reportage in the runup to the Iraq War, in which its reporters such as the
infamous Judith Miller published blatant lies about alleged weapons of mass
destruction.  The backlash that followed the exposure of those lies was so
intense that the paper was forced to fire Miller and to issue a public apology.
Unfortunately, the paper will probably never be forced to apologize for the
lies it has promoted concerning Gaza.
