Speculation and wishful thinking do not negate China’s responsibility in the
matter since China’s energy generation is dependent upon 30 % coal fired
electricity generation. Even dirty coal is still being used, despite regrets.

WHat these writers do not seem to understand --- it seems only novelists can do
things like that --- is that as the global-warming induced environmental
catastrophes pile up all over the world, the CHINESE version of capitalism is
much more capable to responding quickly to the changes that will be enforced
than the US based system ---

the next 50 - 90 years have occurred ---

inter-imperialist rivalries which precipitated both world wars, view Russia’s
invasion of Ukraine and China’s claims in the South China Sea through that
lens. They describe both as rising new “imperialist” powers aggressively
seeking to displace an informal US empire in decline in Europe and Asia.
