Just a small correction: Liebknecht first voted NO on 2nd December 1914 and Otto Rühle joined him on 20th March 1915.

There were parliamentary votes for war appropriations twice a year, for the initial vote in August 1914 party discipline held so that the anti-war minority was repressed and news media reported a unanimous vote for war (shocking Lenin).  For the next vote in early 1915 Karl Liebknecht broke party discipline and voted No.  In fall 1915 Otto Ruhle joined Liebknecht in voting No.  By the early 1916 vote, with antiwar sentiment and organizing growing, a sizable minority voted No; they were expelled from the SPD parliamentary group and formed the Social Democratic Working Group (SAG).  The antiwar movement in the SPD (and generally) and the SAG antiwar parliamentary vote continued to grow until by early 1917 they were a threat to control of the party and they were expelled from the SPD.  In April 1917 what had been the anti-war wing of the SPD formed the Independent Social Democratic Party, the USPD.
