the SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE who are "relatively rich" where they live who are
MOST LIKELY to support Trump --- their decline in relative STATUS because
where they LIVE has become a backwater might be the reason for that ---

(I think in one of Mao's earliest essays, he argued that MIDDLE PEASANTS
were the best recruits for communists because they had experienced some
successes but realized how much they did NOT have compared to the landlords
-- the poorest peasants were too down trodden -- something like that,
right/)
