My disagreement with Hari (the most recent) begins with Patrick Bond's post - "Left forces in South Africa and nearly everywhere - have been splitting up: the 'Campists' who see the world in terms of geopolitical camps and who are warm to Putin on the one hand, and on the other, the internationalist Indy left which favors class and social struggles against oppression everywhere"
Patrick quotes a 'campist' - "The modus operandi is simple: First the West discretely funds any civil disobedience that seeks to overthrow any antiUS/West regimes. It is the same strategy that poured large sums of financial backing behind the antigovernment uprising in Ukraine in 2014 resulting in the ousting of the then pro-Russian president Victor Yanakovich. The US led a chorus of Western approval and endorsement of the coup, describing it glowingly as the "Revolution of Dignity" or "Maidan Revolution" Hari voiced his opinion about this - "All very plausible. The case of the 'Maidan Revolution' is well documented". So I said (sarcastically), "Hari, dear friend, you're showing signs of campism." Then Mark chimed in - "perjorative labeling of each other is to be minimized" Campism is a Stalinist ideology and Hari is what he is. He claims to be against Putin, but from what he said about Maidan the Ukraine people would be wise to watch their back. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
