States to Egyptian parents, Rusha Latif is an independent researcher based in 
the San Francisco Bay Area. She is also the author of the book

Revolution, published by the American University in Cairo Press in 2022. In 
this conversation, we discuss Latif’s book together with the current situation 
in Egypt on the 14th anniversary of the January 25 uprising that culminated 
with the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak on February 11.
