Gaza, tariffs, austerity, censorship, repression, mass deportations. It is becoming increasingly obvious that these policies are all designed to create chaos and a constitutional crisis. What does Trump hope to gain from this? He will use this opportunity to declare a state of emergency and then impose martial law throughout the country. I am as certain of this as I am that the Democratic Party will provide no leadership or direction to avoid this inevitable disaster. Unfortunately, that is also true of the American labor movement. We are in for a world of trouble and without a militant labor force there is no stopping it.
