Four organisations – PO (Argentina), SEP (Türkiye), NAR (Greece) and TIR
(Italy) – have published a joint statement on the Syrian Revolution and
imperialist war. They “/call to organize actions against the imperialist
war, including an internationalist conference against the war in 2025./”
Basically, the document denounces the Syrian Revolution as an
imperialist conspiracy with no progressive content at all. According to
the authors, the revolution represents – reproducing the Islamophobic
language of the U.S. “War on Terror” – the “/advance of the jihadists in
Syria, promoted by Israel and Turkey/”. Likewise, they claim that the
leading force among the rebels, the “/HTS, is not a revolutionary force
but one of the strands of Islamic fundamentalism, supported by Turkey
and other reactionary regimes of the Middle East, as well as the USA and
Israel/.”
