Armed forces of the U.S. have started to bombard Caracas, the capital of
Venezuela. According to President Trump, they have also captured
Venezuela’s President Maduro and his wife. This unprovoked assault comes
after a prolonged period of imperialist aggression with economic
sanctions and murderous strikes against boats in the Caribbean Sea,
killing more than 100 people in the past few months. This opens another
war of the Yankees against a country of the Global South – after their
invasions of Grenada (1983), Panama (1989), Iraq (1991 and 2003-11),
Afghanistan (2001-21) and numerous military interventions like, to
mention only the most recent example, its attack against Iran jointly
with the Zionist monster in June 2025.
