*Greenland: Neither European nor American Occupation but Independence!*
/Statement by the RCIT, 12 January 2026/
1.Since starting his second term, U.S. President Trump has repeatedly
threatened to annex Greenland – the world's largest non-continental
island which lies in the Arctic Circle between Western Europe and North
America. Greenland has been a Danish colony since the early 17^th
century and constitutes today an autonomous territory within Denmark– a
small imperialist state. Trump said that he is going to do “/something
on Greenland, whether they like it or not/” and if it’s not done “/the
easy way, we’re going to do it the hard way./” According to British
media, the President has already ordered his special forces commanders
to draw up a plan for the invasion of Greenland.
