Avram, I think you are overly generalizing. The socialist left, the only "left" we should be talking about, was split, almost along the same lines as it is today over Ukraine. In Yugoslavia, it was even more complicated of course than it is today, with the overall issue of "Yugoslavia", and Bosnia, AND Kosova. Almost all groups DID oppose NATO intervention but were divided on the particulars.
