Blanc compares the January 23 civic strike in the Twin Cities with the January 30th national protests, provides a historic overview of general strikes in the USA, and proposes three key elements that must be present: momentum, organization, and militant-risk tolerant leaders. The ICE-out movement has been building momentum but lacks organization and has no clear national leadership. Not yet. We need a discussion of how we can help change that.
