On 22 February, Pakistan attacked Afghanistan with a series of
airstrikes which killed 18 people, including women and children, all
from a single family in Girdi Kas. Four days later, Afghan forces
retaliated and Pakistan’s military launched Operation Ghazab lil-Haq
("Righteous Fury").
