The US naval blockade, which prevents Venezuela from exporting any oil at all
without US permission, has put the Venezuelan government in a very weak
position, and forced it to make big concessions. Has it conceded too much?

Jessica Dos Santos: "The spectacle of a Trump administration official getting
the red carpet treatment, six weeks after that same administration bombed
Caracas and kidnapped the Venezuelan president, was puzzling for many of us, to
put it mildly.
"We are told that Delcy Rodríguez has a gun to her head, and I totally agree.
But she smiles while this gun is cocked and I find it hard to completely ignore
what I see and hear."

Manolo de los Santos: "A close look at the facts will prove that what we are
witnessing is not surrender but a tactical retreat in the face of overwhelming
force for which there are clear analogies in revolutionary history."

Hundreds of thousands across Venezuela flooded the streets on Tuesday in the
Great March for Peace, Freedom, and Sovereignty to demand the release of First
Lady Cilia Flores and President Nicolás Maduro. The mobilization marks exactly
two months since their kidnapping on Jan. 3 by US imperialism, a day when US
military forces carried out multiple bombings that killed more than 100 people
and wounded dozens more.
In Caracas, the march
covered<https://www.laiguana.tv/articulos/1481027-caracas-movilizacion-nicolas/>
more than two kilometers, beginning at Alí Primera Park in Catia and
proceeding along the emblematic Sucre Avenue....
Similar mass mobilizations took
place<https://ultimasnoticias.com.ve/actualidad/pueblo-exige-liberacion-del-presidente-maduro-a-dos-meses-de-su-secuestro/>
in Petare, east of Caracas, and across states including Monagas, Cojedes,
Mérida, Delta Amacuro<https://www.instagram.com/p/DVbe1WEji2p>, and Táchira.
Demonstrations were also reported internationally; in Brussels, Belgium,
protesters marched<https://x.com/misionven_ue/status/2028920291448217634> in
support of Flores and Maduro, who remain kidnapped by the Donald Trump regime.
Another protest was
scheduled<https://x.com/peoplesassembl_/status/2028873008266297669> in New York
City, where the presidential couple is being held.
