1.After the failure of the negotiations between delegations of the U.S.
and Iran in Islamabad on 11 April, U.S. President Trump imposed a naval
blockade against Iran. “/Effective immediately, the United States Navy,
the Finest in the World, will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and
all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz,/" he wrote on
his Truth Social account. U.S. Central Command stated today that it
would only target ships going to or from Iranian ports while
international vessels not going to or from Iran would have freedom of
navigation to transit the strait.
