This is grist for my mill. I was to the party and not part of the antiwar 
movement before 1970. I personally experienced the NPAC vs PCPJ debate in 1971. 
I was arrested three times at May Day 1971 but ended up in the NPAC/SMC/SWP 
camp before the years' end. My choice was based on strategy and tactics. The US 
anti-war movement had it right with the organization of NPAC in 1970.

And in the context of marxmail's anti-imperialism, this sentence from Halstead 
resonated with me: "One of the great lessons the American people are now 
learning is that they don’t have the right to determine other people’s 
governments." That is, we oppose imperialism regardless of the government of 
the victim country; we don't attack them while they are under attack by an 
imperialist power.
