I had a personal experience with the Society of Pope Pius X when my mother
traveled in the 90s to visit us in Portland Oregon. She let me know that she
was going to mass on Sunday and expected me to go with her. Near our house was
a cute little Roman Catholic church, a small wooden building that advertised
"Latin Mass" on their sign. She always said that she missed the Latin mass.

We walked to the door and there was a sign on it that said women must wear
something on their head, shall not wear pants, and must be in a proper dress.
She stood there reading the posting on the door of the church as the
parishioners queued up behind us. She then exclaimed "the hell with this," and
I proudly followed her back to the car.
